BJP hopes to gain ground in Malwa through Bathinda in 2024

Bathinda is a gateway to southern Malwa province of Punjab. The city is hosting a state-level training camp in Bathinda from July 27 to 29.

The BJP is focusing more on Bathinda, as the party has a larger presence in the politically strong Malwa province of Punjab, particularly after the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) split with it over the now abolished farm laws.Bathinda is now a major party venue, with it being a gateway to southern Malwa.Since Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri spent three days in Bathinda with BJP's Lok Sabha pravas campaign, the party is now hosting a state-level training camp in Bathinda from July 27 to 29.Nearly 200 party leaders, including the whole state leadership, district presidents, secretaries, and others who have switched over from other parties, have been invited to attend the training camp in an upscale hotel in Bathinda.

Bathinda was the seat of Akali politics when the BJP was in an alliance with SAD, because it was more suitable to previous chief minister Parkash Singh Badals family.Bathinda was being used for many of the activities, and many people of different hues made the city their second home, according to a BJP leader who did not want to be named, but that now it was focused on the Malwa area, which was the city's heart.Bathinda has a good infrastructure relative to other cities, with the exception of Ludhiana.
