L&T, Tatas awarded key contracts in Central Vista redevelopment project
It may be noted that Larsen and Toubro (L&T) was awarded the contract to construct and maintain the first three buildings of the common secretariat. The new Parliament building will be constructed by Tata Projects Limited while Shapoorji Pallonji and Company will be constructing the Central Vista Avenue that stretches from the Rashtrapati Bhavan to the India Gate under the Central Vista redevelopment project.
The contract for constructing Vice President's Enclave was awarded to Jharkhand-based infrastructure firm Kamladityya Construction Pvt Ltd in November 2021.
Last month, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri had visited Central Vista Avenue and reviewed the progress of the Central Vista development project. He had also shared the latest photos of the development work. " Visited Central Vista Avenue to review the progress of the project. Despite the unprecedented rains a few days ago & the current Omicron outbreak, work is progressing on schedule," Puri had said in a tweet.
