Canadian PM Justin Trudeau honored with 'Siropa' by SGPC at Golden Temple

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, his wife and children were honored at the Golden Temple Amritsar on Wednesday afternoon by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee.

Sukhbir Singh Badal, SAD President presented the Canadian Prime Minister with mementos.

Justin Trudeau and his family members were bestowed with a siropa and a shawl each by SGPC. Justin Trudeau and his family paid obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harimandir Sahib.

SAD president Sukhbir Badal , SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal and other Sikh leaders welcome Canadian PM Justin Trudeau and his family.

Dressed in a typical Punjabi dress Trudeau came with Kesri Patka wrapped on his head. His wife was also dressed in a Punjabi suit.

Trudeau and family visited langar hall of Darbar Sahib Complex and performed 'Seva' by cooking chapatis.

Former deputy chief minister of Punjab and president of the SAD Sukhbir Badal, Gobind Singh Longowal and Manjit Singh GK extended a warm welcome to the Canadian PM at the main gate of Golden Temple.

Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu received Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at Sri Guru Ramdas International Airport in Amritsar.

The Canadian Prime Minister is on week-long visit to India. Mr Trudeau is accompanied by wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau and three children -Ella-Grace, Xavier and Hadrien.
