Delhi Metro: On August 6, Delhi Metro will give a big gift to the people on the Pink and Gray lines.

The Najafgarh-Dhansa bus stand, built by extending the gray line of Delhi Metro and a small section of the pink line corridor at Trilokpuri, will be inaugurated on August 6. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said that the Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri and the Chief Minister of Delhi will inaugurate these two sections through video conference.

The inaugural ceremony will be held online on August 6 in the morning while passenger service will start from 3 pm on the same day on both the sections. The nearly one kilometer long Najafgarh-Dhansa bus stand section will take the Metro to the hinterlands of Najafgarh.

About 289 meters long Trilokpuri section between Mayur Vihar Pocket 1 and Trilokpuri Sanjay Lake stations will be fully connected with the 59 kilometer long Pink Line.

There are 38 metro stations on the Pink Line.
It will be connected to important places of the city such as Anand Vihar Railway Station, Anand Vihar ISBT, Nizamuddin Railway Station, Bazaars in South Extension, INA and Lajpat Nagar. There are 38 metro stations on the Pink Line. With the opening of these sections, the Delhi Metro network will become 390 km long, with 286 stations.

Metro services not currently available between Trilokpuri-Mayur Vihar Pocket-1 
Presently, Metro services are not available between Trilokpuri-Mayur Vihar Pocket-1 of Pink Line. The remaining portion of the Pink Line will have uninterrupted Metro services for commuters within a radius of 59 km on the Pink Line corridor of the Metro between Mayur Vihar Pocket-1 and Triloklupri. After the completion of metro construction on both the sections, after successful trials, metro services are being started on both the sections simultaneously for Delhiites.
