Delighted to join the Brazilian Ambassador to India HE Kenneth H. da Nóbrega, members of the diplomatic fraternity & other distinguished guests to celebrate Brazil’s Republic Proclamation Day. 2023 marks 75 momentous years of strong diplomatic relations between India & Brazil. Having served as India’s ambassador to Brazil from Jan 2006 to May 2008, which coincided with the first Presidency of HE Mr Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, I am happy to have a memorable personal connection in this relationship. India & Brazil continue to navigate the evolving global landscape & seek reform of the multilateral system. India Brazil partnership in the energy sector, particularly the collaboration in the Global Biofuels Alliance which was launched by PM Narendra Modi Ji during India’s presidency of #G20, will underline & further strengthen the diplomatic, cultural & economic ties which our two countries share.
