The government is going to take strict steps for the convenience of consumers using LPG gas cylinders. Often consumers complain that their domestic gas cylinders are less than 1 to 2 kg of gas. In such a situation, even after complaining about it many times, the customer does not get an answer. To crack down on gas thieves, the government has decided to take strict action to catch such people. The government will now equip LPG cylinders with QR codes. So customers will get many facilities.

Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri gave this information. He said that the government will now equip LPG cylinders with QR codes to prevent gas theft. It will be somewhat like an Aadhaar card. This QR code will make it very easy to track the gas in the gas cylinder. Also, if someone steals the gas from the gas cylinder, it will be very easy to trace him.

How long will QR code be used in gas cylinders?

Giving this information on the special occasion of World LPG Week 2022, Hardeep Singh Puri said that QR code will be installed on all LPG cylinders soon. The government has started the project work. The work is targeted to be completed within 3 months. One thing to note is that QR code will be inserted in the new gas cylinders. And in the gas cylinder, a metal sticker of QR code will be pasted on the gas cylinder.

Earlier it was not easy to track gas after complaining of low gas, but now with QR code it will be easier to track it.
