Housing & Urban Affairs Ministry writes to all Mayors, Chairpersons of Urban Local Bodies to honour sanitation worker on Gandhi Jayanti tomorrow

Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry has written to all the Mayors and Chairpersons of Urban Local Bodies across the country to honour each and every sanitation worker in their city and town on Gandhi Jayanti tomorrow.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi today, Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that he will felicitate Safai Mitras and frontline workers tomorrow.

Mr Puri said, Safai Mitras and frontline workers have been working tirelessly to keep our neighbourhoods clean, especially during the COVID times.

Calling upon all the citizens to join in paying tributes to our Swacchta warriors, the Minister said, this will be a small mark of appreciation by a grateful nation thanking those who keep our cities clean, healthy and beautiful.

The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, Kaushal Kishore was also present on the occasion.
