Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) participated in the 'India Energy Week 2023' program organized in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. Prime Minister Modi first inaugurated 'India Energy Week 2023' on Monday. During this, he also introduced 'E20' fuel, a blend of 20 percent ethanol with petrol. Apart from this, Prime Minister Modi also unveiled the twin-cooktop model of solar cooking system developed by Indian Oil at the India Energy Week 2023 event in Bengaluru. At the same time, the Prime Minister flagged off the Green Mobility Rally in Bengaluru.

During this, PM Modi said that India's gas pipeline network will increase from the current 22,000 km to 35,000 km in the next four-five years. At the same time, PM Modi said that India is moving towards the goal of mixing 20 percent ethanol in petrol. Apart from PM Modi, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai are also present in this program.

At the beginning of his address in this program, PM Modi said that at this time the earthquake in Turkey is keeping an eye on all of us. There are reports of several deaths and considerable damage. There is also a possibility of damage in the countries around Turkey. India is ready to provide all possible help to the earthquake victims.

Apart from this, PM Modi said that Bengaluru is a city full of energy of technology, talent and innovation. Like me, you too must be feeling the youthful energy here. This is the first major energy event of India's G-20 Presidency calendar.

He said that the energy sector has a huge role to play in deciding the future of the 21st century world. India today is one of the strongest voices in the world in the energy transition in the development of new energy resources. The PM said that unprecedented possibilities are being created for the energy sector in India, which is taking a pledge to become developed.

PM Modi said that the recent growth projections by the IMF show that India will continue to be the fastest growing major economy in the world. India has been a 'Global Bright Spot' in 2022 despite the impact of the pandemic and war.

At the same time, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi set a target of 10% ethanol blending by the end of November 2022, we achieved this target 5 months ago. We have extended the availability of E20 blended petrol to 2025.

Also, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that the next 5 years are going to be very important for the production of new avatars of energy including renewable energy, hydrogen and ammonia... PM Modi's third visit in a month
This is PM Modi's third visit to the poll-bound Karnataka in less than a month. The Prime Minister had visited Hubli on January 12 and inaugurated the National Youth Festival. Later on January 19, he held a road show in Yadgiri and Kalaburagi districts where he tried to woo voters by showcasing development and social welfare programmes. This gave the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) a 'launchpad' for the assembly elections to be held in April- May.

'India Energy Week 2023' will be organized in Bengaluru from February 6 to 8. The objective of the event is to showcase India's growing power as an energy transition superpower. An official release said that through this event, conventional and non- conventional energy industry, governments and academia are expected to come together to discuss challenges and opportunities.
The release said that more than 30 ministers from across the world will be present at the event. It added that there will also be over 30,000 delegates, 1,000 exhibitors and 500 speakers who will discuss the challenges and opportunities of India's energy future.
