Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep S. Puri has said that India will generate 25 percent of the growth in global energy demand in the next two decades. He was addressing a roundtable on 'Opportunities in India-US Strategic Partnership' in Houston, Texas.

He said that India's energy strategy is committed to global green transition and energy availability for all. In a series of tweets, Hardeep Singh Puri said that the immense potential between the two countries in biofuels, gas-based economy, green hydrogen, petrochemicals and upstream sectors is clear and is being pursued with the support of our private sector companies. He added that due to Modi government's reform measures, global oil companies are very interested in India.
