Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri inaugurated a section of Delhi Metro 's Magenta Line at Janakpuri on Monday evening . Both flagged off the Metro train on the 24.8 km long Janakpuri West-Kalkaji Mandir section. However, this metro service will be available for the general public from Tuesday. This metro line is also being called superline because it will save the time and money of the passengers. With the introduction of this line, the people of Noida will also be able to reach the airport easily. This metro line is passing through Terminal 1 of IGI Airport.

The Magenta Line is going to benefit not only the people of Delhi, but also the people of NCR, as this new line will cross the 3 different lines of the Metro, Blue Line, Yellow Line and Violet Line. That is, passengers from Magenta Line will be able to interchange on these three lines or from these three lines on Magenta Line. This will also reduce travel time and also save fare.
