The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas will host the inaugural edition of India Energy Week 2023 (6-8 February) at the Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre. It will discuss how India can meet the growing demand for energy through convergence of bio-fuels, green hydrogen, renewable energy and conventional energy.

India is projected to witness the largest increase in energy demand of any country over the next two decades, as its economy continues to grow and create opportunities for its people and the global energy value chain.

As a rapidly developing country and soon to be the most populous country in the world, India's energy transition will play an important role in global energy markets. India Energy Week comes at a critical time, with challenges of energy security and environmental sustainability impacting the path towards long-term energy transition and decarbonisation.

As the first major energy event under India's G20 Presidency calendar, energy leaders from across India will outline current and upcoming plans, officials said. They will explain how India plans to diversify its energy mix through gas, biofuels and hydrogen to unlock its full potential on the road to achieving net-zero by 2070. Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned the energy commitments made during COP26 to combat climate change.

Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri will welcome international energy counterparts to drive critical dialogue and take decisive steps to navigate the evolving energy landscape.

India Energy Week 2023 will bring together over 30,000 energy professionals from across the entire energy value chain, including energy, finance, government, think tanks and academia, for India's largest energy show, a multidisciplinary conference program and a range of special events.

The International Exhibition will include an India Experience Zone, Future Mobility Zone, Bio-Energy Zone and exclusive pavilions including Petronet LNG Pavilion, Make in India Pavilion and Waste to Energy Pavilion, where over 650 companies will present their solutions for India and the global market Will do
