News On Air | Targets set by Government under PMUY-2.0 already achieved

The government has informed that targets set under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY)-2.0 have already been achieved.

In a written reply in the Lok Sabha today, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri said the second phase of the scheme was launched in August 2021, and one crore 60 lakh LPG connections have been provided to the beneficiaries under it. He added that eight crore LPG connections were provided to the beneficiaries until September 2019 during the scheme’s first phase.
