Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Friday said the Global South faces acute impact of energy price volatility. He proposed to create a Global Biofuel Alliance under G20. The Minister was speaking at the Energy Minister’s Session in Voice of Global South Summit. Mr Puri said India is committed to achieving net zero carbon emission by 2070. He invited Global South to join India’s initiatives such as International Solar Alliance, One Sun One World One Grid and 1st India Energy Week in Bengaluru.

Meanwhile, at the Commerce and Trade Ministers’ Session, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and his counterparts from Global South nations shared ideas on diversifying supply chains, tech transfer, infrastructure investment, connectivity and access to global markets.
