Privileged to call on HE Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, President of Mozambique in Maputo today. Thanked him for the warm welcome & hospitality during my stay. With about 25,000 of people of Indian origin living in Mozambique, our two countries share deep ethnic & cultural ties. These ties have also translated into robust bilateral trade, including in the hydrocarbons sector. Indian companies have made substantial investments in Mozambique, particularly in LNG, coal & other mining activities of Mozambique which currently stand at about US$ 11 billion.
