SBM 2.0, the second phase of PM Sh Narendra Modi Ji’s visionary SwachhBharatMission is implementing his vision to make cities garbage-free along with sewage & safety management, making cities water-secure & ensuring that dirty drains do not merge into rivers.The impassioned leadership of PM Modi Ji has successfully transformed both the rural & urban components of Swachh Bharat Mission into a popular Jan Andolan & brought about a behavioural change in people towards matters pertaining to #Swachhata & sanitation. Interacted with Principal Secy UD & Municipal Administration from various States/UTs, MC’s of 9 Megapolises, State Mission Directors, sector & development partners & others at a Review-cum-Workshop to evaluate & accelerate the scale of planning & implementation of SBM 2.0. Discussed challenges being faced by various ULBs, possible solutions & help required from centre in ensuring overall successful implementation of the mission across the country. The day long event also proved to be an effective platform for peer learning for the participants.
