KCR should apologise for Metro Rail delay: Ponnala
Warangal:Blaming Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for the delay in the execution of Hyderabad Metro Rail project and the resultant cost escalation, former PCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah has demanded that the CM tender an unconditional apology to the people of the State for the delay and the additional expenditure of over `4,000 crore caused due to it.

Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, Lakshmaiah stated that though the Metro Rail project was conceived when the Congress was in power, Rao, after forming government in 2014, delayed it on one pretext or the other. In fact, KCR had opposed metro rail in 2011 but was unabashedly taking credit now for it, he ridiculed. “Metro rail is the brainchild of the Congress  government and now, after creating hurdles, the TRS government is taking credit for it.
