Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri attended a Global Conference on compressed biogas on April 17 in the National Capital. Talking to the media persons he said that the growth made so far in the energy production and green energy will have great contribution in agriculture sector and Compressed Bio Gas (CBG) is an area not just for major growth but immediate growth. He said, “Our economy in terms of energy production, transition into green energy will have a major contribution to the agriculture sector. Earlier, the target in bio-fuel mixing was 20 pc by 2030. However, that target has been brought down to 2025, which we shall achieve.”“In the area of Compressed Bio Gas, all the stakeholders have feed-stock. Now the ecosystem and the developments are ready to be multiplied. Hence, CBG is an area not just for major growth but immediate growth.
