India Energy Week takes place from 6-8 February 2023 in Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), India.

India Energy Week is the pre-eminent platform for experts in the traditional and non-traditional energy industry from around the world. It will showcase it as a global powerhouse for energy transition and a hub that brings together the international energy industry.

As the first major event under India's G20 Presidency, India Energy Week follows the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pledge at COP26 to cut India's emissions to net-zero by 2070.

India is expected to drive the largest increase in any other country’s energy production in the next two decades. Diversifying its energy mix through gas, biofuels and hydrogen to unleash its full potential and address the energy trio of safety, accessibility and sustainability.

As Indian Prime Minister stated, India's energy security is important for global growth, as it is the world's fastest growing economy.

"We must not promote any restrictions on the supply of energy and stability in the energy market should be ensured. India is committed to clean energy and environment. By 2030, half of our electricity will be generated from renewable sources. Time-bound and affordable finance and sustainable supply of technology to developing countries is essential for inclusive energy transition," said Narendra Modi.

India Energy Week is the only comprehensive international energy event supported at the highest level of the Government of India, involving all Public Sector Enterprises (PSUs) and with the official support of the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI).

The week is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India.

The event will convene leaders from different areas such as finance, government, think tanks and academia to address the challenges and opportunities presented by a responsible energy transition that balances security, affordability and sustainability.

Speakers of the event are Ministers for Energy of Ghana, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Minister for Economic Affairs of Bhutan, including Indian Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Housing and Urban Affairs, Hardeep Singh Puri and National Energy Administration of the People's Republic of China Lin Shanqing.

As India accelerates its efforts to secure its energy and power by investing across infrastructure and exploration and production, India Energy Week provides a unique opportunity to identify new growth opportunities.
