The Swachh Survekshan 2022 results announced on Saturday reflect the efforts of the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation to keep the city clean and garbage free. Aurangabad ranked 30th in the nationwide Swachh Survekshan. Swachh Survekshan 2022 was announced in New Delhi in the presence of President Draupadi Murmu. Union Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Union Minister of State for Urban Development Kaushal Kishor and other persons were present in these programs.

Under the leadership of Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Dr. Abhijit Chaudhary, Aurangabad Municipal Corporation is working tirelessly to keep the city clean and garbage free. For this, the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation has established waste processing centers in a few years and is running a complete system of collecting garbage from every household. As a result of this, in the results of Swachh Survekshan 2022 announced on Saturday, Aurangabad city has got more than 90 percent marks in keeping the market and residential areas clean, cleaning the garbage dumps, cleaning the rivers and drains and cleaning the roads.

Under his leadership, Aurangabad Municipal Corporation has made arrangements to collect the bio-waste from the vegetable market and hotels and send it to the Bio-Gas Processing Center located in Kanchanwadi, the trade lines of the city are clearly visible. Along with this, with the help of Smart City, it is easy to find out whether the garbage is being picked up from every house by reaching the Ghantagadi on time in the street using the GPS system installed on the Ghantagadi.

Started cleaning the drains ahead of time
The special thing is that in the last one year, Aurangabad Municipal Corporation with the help of various organizations and citizens cleaned the Kham river and started cleaning the drains from its system ahead of time without hiring contractors, this work has Scored impressive marks in the survey. Solid Waste Grievance Redressal Help Desk was set up by the Municipal Corporation and got more than 75 percent marks for this. 50 percent of the citizens separate the garbage and give it to Ghantagadi. However, due to the fact that the remaining fifty percent of citizens do not classify the waste and throw the garbage elsewhere. It hinders the cleanliness of the city and the marks in the Swachh Survekshan also fell due to this reason.

Municipal Commissioner Dr. Abhijit Choudhary gave a response to the efforts of the Municipal Corporation if every citizen and businessman gave their wet and dry waste separately.
