At the India Energy Transition Summit addressing the gathering on India's energy transition journey.

Sep 05,2024

As India progresses towards being the world's third largest economy under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi Ji, it will account for nearly 25% of the growth in global energy demand by 2040 while the primary energy demand will nearly double by 2045, driven by a growing population, urbanization, and economic expansion as per OPEC outlook. As this happens, we are committed to ensuring uninterrupted flow of traditional energy, such as oil and gas while advancing our energy transition plans. Our energy sector companies play an important role in this journey ahead towards energy self-sufficiency. India's energy initiatives such as ISA and GBA shall help in accelerating the global transition to cleaner energy sources, unlocking opportunities worth US$ 500 billion while generating employment. Through alternate energy, we aim to reduce import dependency, save foreign exchange, promote circular economy, and transition to a cleaner, self-reliant energy future.
