Happy to participate in India Bioenergy & Tech Expo, an International Conference on Bioenergy with my senior colleague Sh Nitin Gadkari Ji.
Bioenergy has gained much prominence in recent years not only as a promising alternative energy source in India to reduce the country's dependence on fossil fuels, but also as an avenue of income generation for farmers & rural communities.
This is a unique platform that aims to unleash the bioenergy potential in India through which the govt led by PM Sh Narendra Modi Ji aims to reduce import dependency, save foreign exchange, promote circular economy, and transition to a cleaner, self-reliant energy future.
India’s energy transition, centred on biofuels, will require combining disruption and scale, and it will only be truly successful when all stakeholders collaborate. We must realise that this journey is about creating comprehensive ecosystems as much as it is about harnessing specific technologies.
India achieved 10% ethanol blending in June 2022 & advanced availability of E20 blend by 5 years to 2025. 20% ethanol blended fuel is already available at more than 15,600 outlets.
